Cook's Garage & Wrecker Service Established in 1967, we are the oldest shop in Butts county. We offer small and major automotive repairs. We also offer 24 hour towing 365 days a year

With over 50 years of experience, we can satisfy any of your automotive needs. We offer a wide variety of services including but not limited to Jasper Engine and Transmission installation as well as used engines and transmissions. We offer 24 hr towing using rollbacks, medium duty trucks, and heavy duty wreckers. We specialize in motorcycle towing as well. We also offer lockout services locally. The Cooks Garage & Wrecker Service family are heartbroken to announce that today 2/12/2024, we lost our father,grandfather, teacher and friend, our founder Billy F Cook after a short illness. He was born in Butts county in 1937 and moved to his current home in 1939. He later married my mother and started raising a family. He opened Cooks Garage in 1958. He worked on cars, while also working at Avondale mills and building transmissions at night for the Oldsmobile dealership in Jackson.He bought his first tow truck in 1967 and according to him that was his last good night of sleep he got until he retired in 1998, but he didn't sit around after that. He was always working on things in the yard or in the house building things out of wood.He loved spending time with family and coming to the Garage and checking on us. He also loved going to the mountains going to yard sales and flea markets. He will be greatly missed by his friends and family, so until we meet again we love you and will miss you, Pop. The picture is of Billy and his brother James standing by his first car.
