Immediate press release
07-06-25
In the early days of June 2024, we acquired MMS to give racers and fans a place to race close to home. There wasn’t a track open within almost a 2 hour radius of Whitesburg, Ky. (Tracks opened since; 191 speedway, 201 Speedway and Hidden Hollow)
We have poured hours and hours of blood, sweat and ALOT of time at this track of the past 12 months. Lost thousands and thousands of dollars, only to be ridiculed, persecuted and hated at the cost of pretty much nothing. We went into this with great intentions that crumbled at our hands.
Through the last 12 months we have found a lot of new friends and found some friends who was not really much friends all along, but that’s fine as well. The dirt track has not brought in one profitable race since the 2025 race season has begun. The go kart track will not harden enough to be able to race and the drag strip never brought in over 15 cars at the events we were able to run. The weather costed us over 10 events with no breakthrough in site.
As of now, we will be turning the lease back in and there will be no more events held at MMS under this administration. I’m certain there’s a lot of interest to pursue the track and those folks can get in contact with land owner Kim Maggard.
No one forced us out or shut us down. We knew coming into this, it wouldn’t be long until a couple tracks would fire back up and that’s exactly what we wanted!
At the end of the day, one of the things we wanted has happened. We gave people a place to race until other tracks reopened. We are racers who love the sport. We honestly would much rather focus on our racing program moving forward, and that’s what we plan to do. We appreciate each and everyone of you who have had our backs through this crazy ride. And we hope nothing but the absolute best for the next years down at MMS for whoever decides to ride the wave! 🏁🏁
