🚜❄️ Lets give a big welcome to the new groomer! ❄️🚜
It’s been a long time coming, but we finally got to trade out our oldest machine (it was really starting to struggle) and bring in a brand new groomer—just in time for the holiday weekend. Does it need a name??? Or do we just call it "the new groomer"??? Let us know if you have any great suggestions!
Now let’s just hope that more snow shows up next week so we can really lay down some fresh corduroy for you all! 🙌

Dec 21, 2025 Avalanche Forecast: We issued an AVALANCHE WARNING for the mountains near Cooke City, Island Park and West Yellowstone. The danger will rise to HIGH today. Heavy snowfall and wind-drifted snow will add weight to a snowpack with buried weak layers. Natural and human triggered avalanches are likely. Avalanches can be triggered from flatter terrain below steep slopes. The safest choice is to travel on slopes less than 30 degrees steep, and stay off of flatter terrain below steep slopes. Avalanche danger is HIGH near Cooke City, Island Park and West Yellowstone.

Near Bozeman and Big Sky, new snowfall today will make human triggered avalanches likely. Avalanches might involve drifts of the snow that falls today, or larger persistent slab avalanches can break wider and deeper on buried weak layers. Be cautious of slopes steeper than 30 degrees. Either avoid them entirely or very carefully assess the snowpack and consequences of a slide before entering avalanche terrain. Avalanche danger is CONSIDERABLE in the mountains near Bozeman and Big Sky.

Fremont County responded to a call of a snowmobiler that had been injured in an avalanche near Keg Springs in Island Park. The individual was able to self-extricate and is being treated by EMS.

Please be aware of the avalanche danger when recreating this weekend.
