On a Jaguar E Type we are removing a leaking exhaust manifold. We found that one of the holes for the stud had become oblonged and was not holding the manifold tight onto the engine block causing it to leak. we re-drilled and re-tapped the hole to fit the next size stud, then cleaned up the mating surface to complete the repair.
