“Diff drop” is usually a dirty word in the Shock Surplus dictionary but when it comes to Third Gen Tundras and Sequoias it’s the “secret sauce” that makes the best coilover and strut options work.
After testing a couple of different things, the theme we continue to find is the parts that require differential drops with the base black shafts, also road and performed a strong sight better than the stuff that didn’t, and it all comes down to travel.
The options that needs a drop or the Red shafts have a lot more travel allowing them to not have to be tuned as stiff while still having more out right performance on tap.
So when it comes to Tundies, diff drops are not only your friend, you should be seeking the coilover or strut options that require them.
But we have a lot more knowledge bombs dropping this Friday with the first episode of a Tundra Suspension Guide series, so make sure to lock I.
