One of Khalid AlZioud 🇯🇴 biggest takeaways from training: perspective.

The right light placement, body position, and movement reveal how much the metal is truly affected—including energy and features that aren’t obvious at first glance.

Customers may see a small dent. We see the full damage and the work it takes to repair it properly. It’s our responsibility to help them understand that difference and to document the damage clearly so the repair estimate reflects what’s really there.

Perspective matters from the first inspection to the final repair.

I want to be transparent about why I’m offering PDR FIRST STEPS.

I’ve put a lot of time, energy, and attention into building a structured PDR training program. The students who have committed to learning have made some impressive progress, and I’m proud of what we’ve been able to accomplish together.

At the same time, it’s difficult to sustain training as a standalone business when interest doesn’t often turn into enrollment. I’m a one-person operation, and in 2027 I’ll be shifting more of my attention back to retail repairs. Before that shift, I want to open one class for true beginners who want a proper introduction to the craft without committing to a longer, more intensive program.

PDR FIRST STEPS is focused on the fundamentals: the science behind the metal, light use, tools, pushing, knockdown, and glue pulling. Each day will include lectures and small demonstrations. The $1,500 tuition covers that introductory format. It does not include long extended training days or exclusive one-on-one instruction. Optional extended lab time will be available for an additional cost. My fuller hands-on training options will still be available at their regular tuition.

This class is a chance to learn the foundations, get a better feel for the craft, and decide whether you want to pursue PDR further.

Ricardo ( Ricardo Garcia ) handled a door ding that would challenge even a seasoned technician. The improvement he’s made in just three days has been impressive to watch. Focused practice, good feedback, and the right fundamentals add up fast.

THREE DAYS CAN CHANGE EVERYTHING ⚔️

You can learn a lot about PDR online. You can get tips, watch videos, and ask questions in the groups. But at some point, you need to be over somebody’s shoulder—and have them over yours.

That’s where the little things start to click.

Ricardo is here for three days, and even though we’re spending time on fundamentals and a lot of instruction, the improvement is already showing. Yesterday, he said it himself: “It’s wild how much better I got from one day to the next.”

That’s what hands-on knowledge transfer can do. You may eventually start moving metal on your own, but learning to do it cleanly and consistently can take years without the right guidance. If your time matters, get in the shop with someone who can help you see what you’re missing.

Now WORK HARD and GO BE GREAT.
