Grow gardens, not rust! This it the classic example of spraying a hard coating over existing rust to make it "look good" With time, the rust continues to grow at an accelerated rate. This is why you want an oil based product applied. Oil based products draw out/repel moisture and keep oxygen away, stopping the rust in its tracks! Good news for you GM guys! No more wax coated frames for the 2027 models.

The 2027 Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra 1500 will switch from wax-coated to e-coated frames, improving corrosion protection and durability.
