Pro Tip:
Ford 5.4L 3V usually call for 5w20 motor oil. Its better to use a 5w30 synthetic blend motor oil instead, since it doesn't thin as fast as the 5w20

06' Ford F150 5.4L came in with a P0018 code Crankshaft Position- Camshaft Position Correlation (Bank 2, Sensor A)

Pulled valve covers and noticed timing guides were broken which would cause camshaft and crankshaft to not sync correctly.

We are one of the only shops in the area willing to touch timing jobs!

Not everyone put new replacement parts. This timing guide shows score marks that indicate these were most likely reused timing guides and were never changed out. This is why we keep the parts we take out to show that it's been replaced. This job was done approximately 60,000 miles ago. This customer shouldn't have needed this job for at least another 60,000 miles.
