A customer came to us after their battery light started coming on and their vehicle wouldn’t start.

We tested the charging system and found:
🔧 13.12 volts from the alternator output with no load
🔧 Only 9.95 volts with the headlights and A/C running

A properly functioning charging system should generally maintain around 13.5–14.5 volts while the engine is running. This vehicle was clearly not keeping up under load. Looking back to when I replaced a head gasket on a 2004 ford f250. Got the heads back from the machine shop and realized they installed the cams backwards. This is why we always double check everything, even when a part has been professionally machined or assembled.

We take our time, double check our work, and do it right the first time. Luckily nothing was damaged.

🚨 THIS IS WHY WE INSPECT BEYOND THE OBVIOUS! 🚨

A customer called us because he needed a wheel seal replaced. Seems like a pretty straightforward repair, right? Not quite. 👀

Once I removed the wheel hub, I found metal throughout the oil. At that point, replacing the seal alone would have been a temporary fix at best.

I ended up completely rebuilding the hub with new bearings and races to get everything back to where it needed to be. 🔧

It’s been a couple weeks since we’ve posted, and we wanted to give everyone a little update!

Unfortunately, our service truck decided it needed some attention of its own 😅 The transmission went out, which put us a little behind and meant we had to push some appointments back. We truly apologize to everyone who was affected by the delay and appreciate your patience and understanding!
