Fall is RV deal season — and that excitement is exactly when people skip the inspection.

I don't do inspections myself. It takes a mindset I haven't been trained on. But I've seen enough rotten roofs, hidden mold, and slide mechanisms on their last leg to know what that decision can cost.

One major repair often runs more than twice the price of an independent inspection.

That slide room sticking when it you retract it? Before you panic, make sure that the bulb seal isn't rubbing against the track. You can see on this one how the rubber has been scuffed.

You can pull the seal slightly away from the rack and hold it some some tape long enough to get the slide in and get home where it can be addressed by your favorite neighborhood RV Tech.
