Join us Sunday, Aug. 9, from noon to 3 p.m. for the next Levitt VIBE Indianapolis concert at CAMi! Big Car Collaborative and Arte Mexicano en Indiana team up for this free, monthly, family-friendly music series featuring live music, art, food, and more.

Aug. 9’s lineup:

• Rob Dixon & Triology (jazz)
• Sound Ecologies + Indiana Movement Arts Collective (classical music + dance)
• Raíces (traditional Puerto Rican music)

Bring a picnic or enjoy lunch from the Fiesta on the Go food truck, browse CAMi studio and resident artist vendors, explore our galleries and campus shops, and take part in free art activities while you listen to music and watch performances.

If the weather is bad, we’ll move the show inside CAMi in the Frank & Katrina Basile Performing Arts & Event Hall.

We'll be back at it on Friday, July 3, from 6 to 10 p.m. Come see what's happening around campus — artist studios will be open, exhibitions and shops will be buzzing, and there'll be plenty of people to meet along the way.

If you're feeling creative, HQ Books & Records will host a free wheat-paste workshop, and Hepatica Pottery Collective will give a wheel-throwing demonstration at 6 p.m.

View nine exhibitions including Ivelisse Jiménez’s “Campo de Resonancia,” Will Higgin’s “The Speedway’s Attic,” Jess Dunn and Sylvia Thomas’ “Drafts,” “You’re Standing Inside the Instrument: A Score for 19 Buildings,” “From The Collection Of…,” O.P.T.I.O.N.A.L., Cory Robinson’s “Kept Secrets : Open Code,” Tony Cokes’ “Untitled (m.j. the symptom),” and “Mae Alice Engron.”

Visit artist studios, explore exhibits, chat with neighbors, and grab a drink and a bite to eat. Food will be available for purchase from the Fiesta on the Go food truck, and enjoy a selection of beer, cocktails, wine, and coffee available for purchase from Normal Café and Stall (CAMi Main’s new bar). And, check out our campus shops: Line+Form Art Center and The Art Café, HQ Books and Records, Hepatica Pottery Collective, and Indy Plant Room!

First Fridays at CAMi are free to visit for the whole family!

Join us for another Levitt VIBE Indianapolis Music Series concert TODAY, Sunday, May 3! 🎶

This FREE, family-friendly live concert series is at the Contemporary Art Museum of Indianapolis (CAMi) campus in the Garfield Park neighborhood!

These celebrations happen from noon to 3 p.m. on the first or second Sunday of each month through November.

Enjoy live musical and dance performances, local food trucks, drinks from Normal Coffee and Stall, outdoor games, and family fun!
May’s performer lineup includes JJJJJermone Ellis, Grupo Folclórico Macehuani, and A.K.A. And, Pi Indy food truck will be on-site.

Big Car Collaborative and Arte Mexicano en Indiana produce the 2026 series with support from the Levitt Family Foundation. The series is also made possible by additional support from Citizens Energy Group, Jungclaus-Campbell, Efroymson Family Fund, Eskenazi Health, and Lumina Foundation.

The Contemporary Art Museum of Indianapolis (CAMi) will host its grand opening week from May 1-3, featuring three days of celebrations, live music, and free public programming, including a jazz concert, folk dance performance, and neighborhood tour.

One of 99.1 WQRT’s most beloved weekly shows ‘The Purple Crown’ celebrates 6 years today!

Mr. Kinetik is a DJ, emcee, singer-songwriter, musician, and producer who has been making music in Indianapolis since 2008 — thirty projects and counting. His influences run deep into the tradition he calls “The One,” that foundational groove running through blues, funk, soul, hip-hop, and jazz. He is the creator and host of 'The Purple Crown Show,' airing every Saturday night at 9pm on WQRT-LP 99.1 Indianapolis, and the writer and publisher of the newsletter Exist In The Infinite. A featured artist with Red Bull House of Art and the Arts Council of Indianapolis, he has also been the in-game emcee for Butler University Men’s Basketball since 2009. March 28 marks the sixth anniversary of 'The Purple Crown Show.'

And two exhibits continuing:

The Frank N Steam musical hot dog cart — a creation by Garfield Park neighbors Clockwork Janz and Rob Funkhouser — will be on-site if you want to grab a bite to eat and hear some unique tunes!
