Not the ending we’d hoped for going out in the semifinals on a wholeshot, but we are glad the car made another consistent run - 3.75 ET at 205mph.

Another step in the right direction, something we want to carry into Mokan here in a couple weeks!

We were able to secure the win in round one, but not without a challenge! Made contact with the left side wall but thankfully nothing major was damaged, so we have serviced the car and are ready for round 2️⃣ here at 6pm!

Team work makes the dream work!

We sure are living the right now…

Went up for Q2 and had some oil issues at the starting line, but thanks to our amazing and fast crew, they quickly got back to the pit, made the fix and got back up to the lanes just in time to make another great pass - 3.75ET at 205mph!

Headed into eliminations tomorrow number 1️⃣ and it all starts at 3pm! 💪

Not a bad start to the weekend, taking the number one spot with a 3.75 at 204mph.

Another qualifying round is coming up at 8pm to close Friday night racing, so make sure to follow along all weekend.

SUMMER THUNDER EVENT AT BYRON DRAGWAY CANCELED DUE TO WEATHER FORECAST

Byron, Ill. - July 29, 2026 - Byron Dragway, in partnership with Funny Car Chaos and the Nostalgia Drag Racing League (NDRL), regrets to announce the cancellation of the Summer Thunder special event, originally scheduled for Friday, July 31, and Saturday, August 1, 2026.

With significant rainfall and persistent wet conditions predicted throughout the weekend, track officials and series organizers made the difficult joint decision to cancel the event.

"This is not a decision we take lightly," said track officials. "A tremendous amount of work goes into preparing for an event of this scale, but the unfavorable weather forecast prevents us from putting on an event to the standard that racers and race fans expect. We are deeply grateful to our partners at Funny Car Chaos and the NDRL for their collaboration and look forward to working together in the future as we plan for the 2027 season.”

Sunday, August 2nd Schedule Update: While Summer Thunder is canceled for Friday and Saturday, Sunday’s originally scheduled Test & Tune remains on as planned, weather and condition permitting.
