Please NOTE that there will not be Pro Late Models on the schedule for next Saturday. Though we pride ourselves as being supporters of late models, we do not have confidence that we can achieve a minimum number of late models to provide a field for the fans and economics of having this show. There is also a Karl Chevrolet Premier Late Model Tour event the following night in Mason City where we anticipate that many of the tour regulars will be focused on. This does allow us to provide a reduced grandstand admission price to witness our strong field of weekly IMCA classes that race for the largest purse in the area. We have been rewarded with what we believe to be the best field of competitors in our weekly divisions and still anticipate well over 125 cars competing making this show the best value in area. Bring your family and a friend to show your support of weekly racing in Independence.

We thank all the drivers, fans, and Hall of Fame individuals who came out last night to enjoy a great night of racing. As most people know after 4 years we don't even try to put on a show if we think we are going to lose it to weather. Last night we knew we were going to have a light drizzle for a couple hours and then we were in the clear.

The drivers put on an incredible show with tons of slide jobs and lot of movers and shakers as you can see in the results. The track was in prime shape after the drizzle stopped. After a rain delay and a great Hall of Fame ceremony we had everyone on the road well before 10pm with 7 classes in action. Congratulations to all of our podium finishers and we will see you next Saturday night. Hot laps at 630.

Lots of items that will be on the silent auction Saturday night. The driver door panels and the 2026 Hall of Fame banner that will be signed by all current in past inductees will be the items that will be auctioned off live right after the new inductees get inducted at intermission. The silent auction opens at 4:30 and close at intermission.
