5 Things I Wish Someone Told Me Before I Started Detailing 🚗💭
Nobody warns you about these when you’re starting out. Learned them the hard way so you don’t have to 👇
1️⃣ Buying cheap tools costs you more later — you’ll replace pads, towels, and extractors within months. Buy quality once.
2️⃣ Charging too low attracts the worst customers — low prices don’t build loyalty, they attract people who nickel-and-dime you.
3️⃣ Not every stain comes out — and that’s okay to say. Setting expectations upfront saves you from bad reviews later.
4️⃣ Your nose is used to your own car — smoke, pet, and food smells linger way longer than you think. Always ask before assuming it’s a “quick wash.”
5️⃣ Word of mouth beats every ad — one happy customer talking about you does more than a week of boosted posts.
