Did you know?

See those spot welds or reliefs on your DCS flexplate? They’re not defects. They’re balancing marks.

After manufacturing, each flexplate is individually balanced. Small spot welds and/or reliefs may be used as needed during that process, which means the exact marks can vary from one flexplate to the next.

Our flexplates meet SFI Specification 29.3, a performance standard for diesel automatic-transmission flexplates that includes spinning a representative flexplate at 9,000 RPM for one full hour, followed by inspection for signs of failure.

Those little marks have a purpose.
