We grind hard most of the year so we can occasionally take a day to go do exactly what we love.

Black Flag Off-Road will be CLOSED Friday, October 23rd while we trade the shop floor for some dirt, trails, and time with good friends in the off-road community.

At the end of the day, this is why we do what we do. We don’t just work on these machines—we love getting out and using them.

We’ll be back at it Monday. Until then, we’re going riding.

Your X3 shouldn’t beat the hell out of you.

This X3 MAX came into Black Flag Off-Road with about 4,500 miles on it, and the customer was ready for a smoother, more controlled ride.

We talked about what he was feeling behind the wheel, how he rides, where he rides, and the added weight from his aftermarket accessories. From there, we built a plan: a complete shock service paired with a new MTS Off-Road spring package specifically matched to the machine, added weight, and his riding style.

Once we got into the suspension, we found the problem. The rear tender springs had collapsed, the rear shocks were leaking and had lost their nitrogen charge, and the front seals were beginning to seep. The suspension simply wasn't doing its job anymore.

We serviced all four shocks with new seals and fresh oil, charged them with the proper amount of nitrogen, and installed the new MTS spring package.

The difference? Night and day.

Smooth through the chatter. Controlled through the whoops. Planted, predictable, and comfortable. It rides like an X3 should — like you're floating on a cloud instead of fighting the machine down the trail.

From the inception of Black Flag Off-Road, our goal has always been to operate with integrity and honesty and to do things the right way.

We are a licensed and insured business. We pay our taxes, contribute to Social Security and payroll obligations, employ people, and meet the responsibilities that come with operating a legitimate business.

We know there are people doing the same type of work without a business license, without insurance, and without paying taxes.

That's not how we choose to operate.

Eli took 1st in his class at the 2026 Race to Erase 22 Sand Drags at Sand Hollow! 🏆

He brought his tuned X3 into Black Flag Off-Road with an older clutch setup, and we upgraded him to a newer setup featuring the Ibexx LLC Drift Mod and IBEXX clutch kit.

The new setup keeps the engine working in the heart of its powerband, giving him harder acceleration, quicker backshift, stronger belt squeeze, and more consistent RPM under load. That means less wasted power in the clutching and more of the horsepower his tuned motor is making actually gets transferred to the ground.

The result? His X3 hits harder, pulls stronger, and stays in the power longer than it did with his previous setup.

After taking 1st this year, Eli is going to be coming back even stronger and looking for another podium at next year’s race.

⚠️ KRX 1000 NOT SHIFTING OR ENGAGING LIKE IT USED TO?

Before you blame the belt or start replacing clutch parts, there’s another component you need to consider—the wet clutch.

The wet clutch on the Kawasaki KRX 1000 is a great part of the drivetrain, but it’s also a wear item. Over time, it can and will wear out.
