What is the Move Over Law? The law was amended in 2019 and says that you have to move over one lane away from any vehicle with flashing lights. It expanded the existing law ( police, ambulance, fire truck, and wrecker) to include work trucks with flashing lights on top such as Huntsville Utilities, AT&T, etc. The fine plus court cost is approximately $200. Be safe-move over one more lane or be 15 miles below the speed limit. Call me at CWDS 256-658-3001.

The state Department of Transportation in recent weeks has installed four-arrow turn signals at a handful of intersections in Birmingham, Huntsville and Baldwin County, with plans to add 35 more in Huntsville starting in June.
