WOW. You don’t see these very often at all. If you’ve seen one in person, you could consider yourself lucky!
This is what is known as a Toyota Landcruiser 70 series. It’s a V8 turbo diesel, 4 wheel drive, 5 speed Offroad monster. It was never brought to the United States, and this example is from Australia. Restored and painted in a stunning Lexus forest green, she is now properly shining!
The new owner of this truck plans to use it, but wanted it to look as good as possible at the same time. He knew exactly where to come!
While the paint had potential, it lacked a lot to be desired when it came in. You can see how bad the texture, trash, sand scratches, buffer trails and swirls were in the pictures. The front end seemed to be the worst parts, so we did what we do best- We busted out some sand paper, chopped down the clear coat to get below the ugly defects, and then we refined it until it was as close to perfect as possible!
We then wrapped all front end panels in SunTek Films Reaction Paint Protection Film for the best protection money can buy! As you can imagine, there are no pre cut patterns for this Landcruiser. So our talented installer hand laid, and hand cut every single panel, including the hood scoop, and wiper cowl around all of those vents! He was able to hide almost every single edge, so that it’s invisible as possible!
Once we completed the PPF, Tyler delicately paint corrected the rest of the truck, getting rid of the imperfections in the paint, and bringing out the beautiful gloss. Once he was finished with the paint correction, he slathered the truck down in IGL Coatings USA Arcane for many years of protection and easy cleaning!
