On today’s episode of what makes the Sparks fly. We bring to you, Mr. Matt Clem life long dream of the most epic 55 Chevy Bel air. Let us tell you it is going to be just that. The list is long but here is a run down.

Engine: Thompson Motorsports of TEXAS Ls 427 paired with a Frankenstein Engine Dynamics LLC billet intake,and feed with twin hptturbochargers. EFI will be controlled by Holley.

Trans: 501 Performance trans and converter

Chassis: Art Morrison Enterprises handled the roller and we will be adding a full Ridetech air ride

It will be finished with a plethora of parts from the boys and girls at Motion Raceworks and Race Part Solutions.

Returning client Sean Zalesny brought his 2000 WS6 to After Hours Fab and Performance for a gaggle of up grades to include the following: 25.5 cert cage, mini tubs,AHF&P custom 9” rear end, tickperformance lower adjustable torque boxes, RSM tube front end w/ motor plates and mid plates and of course a full twin turbo kit. Make sure you stay tuned for the finished build. This one going to be epic for you sir.

What’s in your shop this week. This is what we are up to. Mustang is almost done, just need to fit the hood and it is on its way back to the owner to finish. Restomod camaro in for a four link mini tubs and some more goodies. Car is as clean as it looks. Nova well this thing will be insane once completed. Full airride, EFI conversion, SS exhaust, new dash and a bucket full of other changes coming to this hotrod. Looking for a 2010 up 5.7 hemi with trans and transfer case. Will take a whole part out truck if those things are good. Wrecked or just the motor trans and case alone. Anyone know of anything? Yes I gander at fb marketplace

In the lanes for round 1 of here at we got Ernie Dampier with his c6 vette. Little underdog but we shooting for a clean a to b in this thing. Track seems to be on KILL so we are ready George Rumore Gangsta Mullet

Q3 pass. We had her ready to take it out the back finally for the final qualifier of the night. There’s still a lot to pour on the short track but we had an idea of what it should go if all went smooth. It started out good and still put a decent number down for not being a clean run. It didn’t shift into 3rd and whacked the limiter about 400ft out.
All in all it was a fantastic week we got great data, we learned a bunch about the car AND we were at the U.S. Street Nationals Presented by M&M Transmission this is only the beginning of what’s to come. This is going to be one badass hot rod when we get the last of the qwerks out of it. We WILL be coming out to compete up north when it gets nice out. Great start to 2024! LETS GOOOOO! With trying to get on the track today we stumbled into a couple small new car blues….our oil pressure/temp combo sensor had a crimp that wasn’t happy. Got that fixed up and unfortunately had to wait for the tuner to come back after dealing with other rides. We WILL be the first car in our class to test tomorrow to finally shake it down. Here’s a little teaser. U.S. street nationals everything looks great came up on boost quickly data logs are sweet so we are 100% ready for tomorrow. Oil change tonight warm it up in the am and change plugs and to the lanes we go

Came prepared and ran into some immediate unfortunates with doin some routine maintenance but nothing we couldn’t get handled.
