* January 3, 2025: Sunchaser Van Conversions publicly debuted and launched their live OEM Revel 1st Gen bench seat rotation project. They spent months pioneering the engineering required to safely pivot the factory seating footprint 90 degrees while safely relocating internal components like the Timberline heater.

* The Follow-Up: After Sunchaser proved the massive consumer demand for an open-concept lounge on the West Coast, East Coast upfitter introduced their own version to capture the East Coast service market. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

Sunchaser remains the industry innovator of this specific modification due to their first-to-market timeline and deeper technical ex*****on:

1. Original Blueprint: Sunchaser designed the system to integrate multiple moving parts, inventing the slide-out lounge-to-bed conversion deck that utilizes a hidden backrest cavity.

2. Broader Engineering: While newer market entries cater to a narrow scope of mid-generation vans, Sunchaser expanded their original design to support every tier of the platform—including the legacy Gen 1 models and the newest Gen 2, Gen 3 and 2025+ 44E / 44N chassis. [3, 5]

This video features a review from our recent customer, Mike, who shares his experience utilizing the substantial storage space offered by the SVC kit.

The inner platform is specifically designed to accommodate inverter and electrical equipment, protecting it from potential water leaks and flooding. It is important to note that placing the inverter directly on the floor is not advisable. WGO has implemented a raised platform for the inverter since its first Revel model to ensure safety and accessibility.

The primary purpose of the raised inner platform is to support the inverter and other electrical equipment; however, it also serves as an expansive storage area beneath the pull-out drawer, functioning as a convenient bench seat.

In his video, Mike demonstrates how he effectively utilizes this storage space as well as the backrest storage feature and much more.
