For the Museum of American Speed Small Wheels, Big Dreams project, we treated this little ’55 Chevy pedal car like a full-size custom build.
Bad Apple got extensive bodywork with shaved trim and welded seams, a lowered rear stance for a little nose-up rake, custom quad-coat flake and candy red paint, real gold leaf, and hand-painted artwork. We finished it off with billet velocity stacks, gasser-style fender headers, a red-tinted windshield, and pie-crust cheater slicks.
It will be on display at the Nebraska State Fair before being auctioned in November to support the Museum of American Speed’s youth education programs. Pretty fun project for something with pedals.
