Look at what people are trading in for a GMC.

Walk through the pre-owned inventory at Texan GMC and you’ll find a little bit of everything.

Mustangs. Mercedes-Benz. Toyota. Acura. And plenty of other late-model and premium vehicles.

Why?

Because when customers make the move into a new GMC or Buick, their previous vehicles become part of our pre-owned inventory.

That means our used lot can change constantly, with vehicles from brands you might not expect to find at a GMC dealership.

So there are two ways to look at it.

If you’re considering a GMC, take a look at what other drivers are trading in to make the switch.

And if you’re shopping pre-owned, don’t assume Texan GMC only has GMCs and Buicks.

Come walk the lot and see what’s been traded in this week.

Hate spending your day at a dealership? You don’t necessarily have to.

Car buying has changed.

Today, much of the process can be handled remotely through phone calls, email, and digital communication. Our team can work through the details with you, help arrange the necessary paperwork and verification, and even coordinate vehicle delivery when available.

Clay has one out-of-state customer who’s purchased seven or eight trucks from him over the years, despite the two of them only meeting in person once.

The vehicles go to the customer. The trades come back.

At Texan GMC, we’re here to make the process work for you.

Want to come in, walk the lot, and test drive a few options? We’d love to have you.

Already know exactly what you want and would rather handle as much as possible from your couch?

We can help with that too.

Call Texan GMC and let our team make your next vehicle purchase as convenient as possible.

What vehicle feature would you bring back?

Clay’s answer: adjustable pedals.

Modern vehicles give us more ways than ever to dial in the driving position. Power seats can move seemingly every direction, and available power tilt and telescoping steering columns make it easier to get comfortable behind the wheel.

But everyone’s proportions are different.

Your height, leg length, arm length, and preferred seating position all play a part in how comfortable you are behind the wheel.

That’s why adjustable pedals were such a useful feature. Instead of adjusting everything else around a fixed pedal position, the pedals themselves could move to better fit the driver.

Sometimes the feature you miss isn’t the newest or most technologically advanced.

It’s just the one that made sense.

What discontinued vehicle feature would you bring back?

Don’t keep putting stress on your tires! This is your sign to get back on track and fix your alignment!

When your suspension is out of alignment, your tires wear unevenly, your vehicle can pull to one side, and your ride is less comfortable overall.

If you’re experiencing issues like steering wheel vibration, abnormal tire wear, or pulling to one side, come see us. You’ll save on your alignment service all month long, and get expert care by our factory-trained pros.

Why hasn’t Buick brought back the Grand National?

Some vehicle names carry enough history that people immediately know what they represent.

The Buick Grand National is one of them.

The original Grand National became an icon by doing something unexpected: delivering serious turbocharged performance from a Buick at a time when V8-powered American performance cars dominated the conversation.

That’s the kind of name that still gets enthusiasts talking decades later.

We’ve seen other iconic nameplates return in completely new generations, and Clay thinks it’s time for Buick to do the same.

Not a prediction. Not something Buick has announced.

Just one enthusiast’s wish for what he’d love to see next.

Give the Grand National name a modern interpretation, give it performance worthy of the badge, and see how many people show up to take a look.

Would you want to see a modern Buick Grand National, or should the original be left alone?

Remember when power windows were actually a selling point?

Car shopping has changed quite a bit over the years.

There was a time when something as simple as roll-up versus power windows could help determine which vehicle fit your budget. And if you wanted to see what was available, you weren’t pulling out your phone.

You were checking the newspaper or driving to the dealership.

Today, customers can research vehicles, compare trims, look through features, check inventory, and learn about options before they ever step onto the lot.

And that can make the dealership experience better too.

If you discover a trim or feature you hadn’t considered, our team at Texan GMC can help you research it, compare your options, and find the vehicle that actually makes sense for you.

The vehicles have changed.

The way we shop for them has changed.

But helping someone find the right one is still the job.

What’s one old-school vehicle feature you remember that would make younger drivers confused today?

If you could only own one vehicle, what would it be?

Clay loves the HUMMER EV, but if we’re talking about an all-around vehicle for everyday life in Texas, his answer is the GMC Sierra 1500 SLT.

And the reasoning is pretty simple.

It’s comfortable enough to daily drive.

You’ve got a bed when you need to haul something.

You have real towing capability when it’s time to hook up a trailer.

Four-wheel drive is available when you want the additional capability.

And the SLT gives you a strong mix of comfort, technology, and everyday features without requiring you to step all the way up to a Denali or Denali Ultimate.

That’s part of why half-ton trucks make so much sense for so many Texas drivers.

Work during the week. Family duty after hours. Tow when you need to. Throw something in the bed when you need to.

One truck can wear a lot of hats.

If you could only own one vehicle, are you choosing a Sierra 1500 or something else?

What’s the most technologically advanced vehicle in the GMC lineup?

Clay’s answer is easy: the GMC HUMMER EV.

This thing is loaded with technology.

Available Super Cruise gives you hands-free driver assistance on compatible roads. Its driver-assistance and safety systems can help detect potential collisions, brake in certain situations, and provide additional awareness around the vehicle.

Then you’ve got features like four-wheel steering, adjustable air suspension, Google built-in, connected services, available Wi-Fi capability, and cameras seemingly everywhere.

But one of the most interesting parts is what can happen after you buy it.

The HUMMER EV supports over-the-air software updates, allowing GMC to add or improve certain vehicle features without requiring an entirely new vehicle.

That’s helped bring newer capabilities to existing HUMMER EVs over time.

It’s why Clay describes it pretty simply:

It’s basically a computer on wheels.

Come experience the technology inside the GMC HUMMER EV at Texan GMC.

How much do you actually need to spend to get a luxury experience?

Maybe less than you think.

If you’re looking for premium features without jumping into a traditional luxury-brand price point, Buick gives you several options worth considering.

For Clay, one of the best values is the Buick Envista Avenir. It combines upscale styling, premium interior touches, and everyday technology in a smaller, more affordable package.

Want to step up from there?

The Buick Envision Avenir adds another level of refinement with available features like Super Cruise hands-free driver assistance, premium interior materials, and additional technology.

The GMC Terrain Denali gives you another option if you’d rather stay on the GMC side of the showroom.

At Texan GMC, luxury doesn’t necessarily mean buying the most expensive vehicle on the lot.

Sometimes it’s about finding the vehicle that gives you the features you actually want for the money you’re comfortable spending.

What’s more important to you: the luxury badge or the luxury features?

What’s the one vehicle you’d never sell?

For Clay, it’s his 1997 two-door Chevy Tahoe.

Back in college, he’d see people driving them around and knew he wanted one. The only problem was that buying one wasn’t exactly in the budget when he was living on ramen noodles and asking his mom to buy him pizza.

It became one of those vehicles he told himself he’d own someday.

Eventually, he did.

He’s had the Tahoe since around 2004, and more than two decades later, it’s still with him. Four-wheel drive, lifted, and finished in “Aggie maroon.”

But now the story has another chapter.

He’s saving it for his 14-year-old son to drive when he turns 16.

At Texan GMC, we’re obviously around new vehicles every day. But sometimes the ones that mean the most are the ones you’ve held onto for years.

What’s one vehicle you’ve owned that you’d never want to let go?
