Leads assigned team to ensure daily departmental goals are achieved.
Wage rate is based on experience and is $21.00+ / Hour
Essential Job Functions and Performance Standards:
Assures team members adhere to all safety policies & in general promotes a safe working culture
Promotes and maintains a positive, professional attitude and demeanor to drive a positive culture
HANDS ON Working Supervisor that sets the example as a leader and follows American Autocoat policies. Physically works along side the team and monitors team member adherence to policies and addresses any issues with each individual team member as necessary
Understands and upholds disciplinary process fairly with each team member. Promotes and maintains a continuous improvement atmosphere, suggests improvements and assure the teams involvement
Address performance issues as they occur and provide constructive feedback. Lead daily startup meetings with team including ergonomic stretches
Demonstrates and promotes teamwork with other departments
Document significant issues and communicate them to appropriate people, including opposite shift Team Leaders
Assure shift handover is thorough (areas organized, issues/expectations communicated, work complete before shift leaves, etc.)
Assure Standard Work Instructions and company policies are being followed. Assures scrap/non-conforming parts are reviewed and dispositioned properly
Maintain clean and orderly work areas at all times
Sets expectations and monitors team member participation in meetings and training as applicable
Writes performance evaluations, processes timecards, issues disciplinary action and is involved in the new hire selection process
Cross-trains in other departments as needed
Follows and supports all company processes and procedures
Maintain training records of area, standard work
Education-Preferred:
Associates / Bachelors degree in Business or Manufacturing based curriculum
Experience:
Minimum
2+ years of manufacturing experience--Automotive Paint preferred (plastic parts)
6-12 months leadership and training experience
Will also consider applicable summer internship experience for recent college grad
Preferred
5+ years manufacturing experience -- Automotive Paint (plastic parts)
2+ years team leader/supervisory experience
Experience with IATF 16949 requirements
Will be training on 1st shift and then moving to 3rd shift in a Leadership position
PRIMARY focus is Paint Operations (Loading Area, Unloading, Quality Inspection areas) Secondary focus on Assembly and Injection Molding
$500.00 retention bonus after 90 days
