Good evening GOATaholics. Been busy in the shop lately. We would like to thank Jim Yattaw for bringing in his 2022 RoadGlide for some new sneakers, new aluminum intake and throttle body cleaning. Having your engine recirculate the crankcase oil mist will cause the oil to accumulate in the throttle body and intake. This will cause carbon buildup on the top of the pistons. Venting your engine externally to atmospheric pressure will eliminate this oily buildup. We will be installing an external vent system with catch can in the near future. Dennis Kalkbrenner brought his 06 Street Glide in to have the cam chain tensioners checked. Well surprise, the cam chest was already upgraded with a Screamin Eagle cam chest. No need to worry about those crappy spring loaded cam chain tensioners for him. Caretaker brought his 2015 Street Glide in for a 3 hole oil change and full inspection. Found his rear tire is starting to crack! That’s a big safety concern as that tire can fail at any moment. He will be getting new sneakers soon!

Good afternoon GOATaholics. We continue to get bikes in, serviced and back on the road. God has blessed us with many new customers and our small business is growing! We would like to thank Joe Mullen from Hudson for bring us his 2000 Harley Fatboy for new sneakers, new handlebar grips, tune up, new brake pads, brake fluid flush & fill, primary and transmission service and a new Eagle Lights Gen III LED headlight. He said when driving at night, he couldn’t see well. So we took care of that! New headlight is so bright, he will need to wear shades. Thanks Joe for trusting us with your bike.

We are now a Figurati Designs dealer who makes the new reusable stainless steel oil filter assembly. We installed one on our house bike and only 15 miles on the oil, we took the filter off to see what it caught. This bike had a cam bearing failure and ran metal throughout the entire engine. We cleaned the engine out, installed new oil and this new reusable oil filter and you can see for yourself how much debris the filter caught! I’m beyond impressed with the results and will be telling all my customers about this new filter option. We will continue to monitor this engine and report our findings. Good morning GOATaholics. We have been busy in the shop and would like to thank all our customers for trusting us with their bikes. Bill from Holiday brought his 2021 Sportster in for an oil change. He purchased this bike from an independent dealer and was told everything is good on this bike. Well, when we removed the oil filter, we found out otherwise. Filter was full of metal and so was the oil tank. Unfortunately this type of problem could have been avoided if the bike was checked over by a reputable repair shop. Now the engine is damaged and will have to be completely rebuilt or replaced. Rick from Hudson brought in his 1972 FL for tires. Those tires had been on the bike for 20 years!! We got them replaced and the bike will ride much better now. Bill from Hudson brought in his 2006 Softail for cam chain tensioners. When we removed the cam plate, we found that one of the original cam bearings had come apart. That caused the metal rollers to go through the entire engine and it damaged one of the cams, wiped out the oil pump and filled the oil tank with metal particles. Bill decided he would rather sell the bike than make the repairs so we bought it. We went through the engine and made the proper repairs and added a Figurati magnetic reusable oil filter to trap any small particles that may have been missed during the repair process. If you have a 2000 to 2006 Twin Cam engine in your bike, and haven’t had the cam bearings replaced or had the cam chain tensioners replaced, please don’t wait! It can be a costly repair if one of those items fail! We have made a few upgrades to the softail and it’s turning out to be a beautiful bike. Good morning GOATaholics. We would like to thank Joe Mullin of Hudson for finding us online and bringing us his 2019 Harley Tri-Glide for some audio repair. The bike has an aftermarket audio system and all of a sudden Joe lost his tunes. He brought it over on a Saturday afternoon and we got him right in. Did some initial diagnostic tests and found that the amp wasn’t working. Removed the putter fairing and found the ground wire was completely corroded off and the positive wire was being held on by 3 strands of wire. We made the repairs, fixed his main inline fuse for the amp power wire, checked the software in the head unit and got Joe his tunes back! Good morning GOATaholics. We would like to thank Liam O’Leary from Hudson for trusting us with his new purchase of this beautiful 2013 Harley Ultra Classic CVO 110th Anniversary Edition bike. He was generous enough to purchase this bike through an auction held at the Aripeka Elks Lodge 2520 in Hudson and brought it directly to us to have his new ride fully inspected. We replaced the ABS brake pump, flushed all the nasty water contaminated brake fluid out of the system, ran a completely diagnostic report on all the electronic systems, did a complete 3 hole oil change with all Lucas oil products, installed a new battery, new spark plugs, serviced the air filter, checked primary belt tension, and gave it a nice shine up. Liam is now riding in style and will be able to enjoy the open road worry free. We would like to thank Bill from Hudson who is a new customer for trusting us with his 2006 Harley Soft Tail with a full 3 hole service, complete brake system flush and fill and new brakes. Also Rick from Hudson with his 05 Dyna that had melted his rear tail light harness and that shorted out his rear brake light switch. We got him back on the road safe with working brake lights. Also Marty from Spring Hill with his 2016 Harley Street Glide. He needed an oil change and new sneakers on his bike and we got him back on the road, with new tires for the long haul.
