Welcome to the '72 Chevelle wiring nightmare.

This is what happens when people prioritize 'getting it done' over doing it right. We've found power wires soldered and buried in electrical tape, grounds lazily screwed into the floor pan, and RCA cables literally melted onto the heater core hoses.

Every one of these is a failure point
Every one of these is a potential fire.

We're gutting it all. No tape, no floor- screw grounds, and definitely no melted signal cables. We're rerouting, re- terminating. an securing evervthing to ensure this car starts. runs. and stavs on the road for the next 50 years.
If vou're wondering why your proiect cars battery is unreliable, this is usually the reason. Don't be the guy who cuts these corners.
The standard is non-negotiable.

This is why your battery is dead and vour car is a fire risk πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

We're digging into the wiring on the '72 Chevelle and found this: speaker wire used to power door actuators for a Viper alarm.

Speaker wire is designed for audio signals, not for carrying the current required for power

The door eventually pinched the soft jacket, shorted the wires, and the heat was so intense it melted the strands together-looking like a solder joint

This was the source of a parasitic draw, killing the batterv in 48 hours.
Even if the door hadn't cut it. this wire would have eventually failed or caught fire elsewhere. It simply isn't rated for the load.
We don't use speaker wire for power Period.

We're stripping this amateur hour garbage out and doing it to the Operator Standard. If vou want it done fast, go somewhere else. If you want it to last, bring it here

The truth is always under the paint

We took this '71 Chevelle cowl down to the bare metal. You can't build a masterpiece on a foundation of rot and oxidation. We stripped the old finish, exposed the cancer, and cut it out
The video ends with the only acceptable result: clean metal, structural integrity restored. and sealed in a high-quality PPG epoxy. This is the stage where most shops take shortcuts. We don't.
If vou're going to do it, do it once. Do it right. This Chevelle is now protected and readv for the next phase of the build.
The standard is the standard.

The difference between a shop and a standard.

While prepping this 2021 GMC Denali, we masked the enaine bav as we've done on hundreds of vehicles. When the tape came off, the factory paint came with it.
This is a clear case of OEM adhesion failure on this Pearl White finish. It's frustrating, but it's the realitv of modern factory paint jobs.
We're taking care of it. We don't make excuses. and we don't let a vehicle leave with a flaw, regardless of who caused it. A massive thank vou to the client for being understanding while we correct this factory defect and get this Denali back to 100%
The goal is a perfect finish. No matter what it takes.

I cant believe its 2026 & were still doing this crap πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ
