On the 16th I had the car out for a wash. As I was drying it off, I bumped the valve stem on the rear driver's side and heard a little air eek out! So, pulled it in the shop, dug out my old (and I mean 1930's old) tire machine and broke down the tire. I'm thinking it was just trapped air between the tube and the wheel, I didn't want to take that chance. I replaced the tube and put it back on. I aired up the tube I took out and it's still holding. I loaded up the car on the trailer ready for the trip up to Siren the next morning. Next morning we left about 6 am to get to my parents house. Unloaded the car and dad rode with us down to Frederic for their Family Days car show. It was an awesome day. The 1970 AAR Cuda belongs to my uncle. He's had it since 1975.

No pictures, not much to show! I have the flywheel, clutch assy and transmission back in the car. Also installed a new starter rod grommet. Hopefully finish up tomorrow after work! The first time I had this all apart, the transmission slid right into place real easy, first try. Didn't even have to use force. This time was a real bu**er...

Haven't posted anything in a while! Ever since I had rebuilt the carb it had a high idle. Turned out I had installed the throttle plate 180° off... Lol... Got that fixed and the next day, ready to leave work and head home the starter would not turn the engine. Kept trying and got lucky and she started. After fixing the high idle I had it idling a bit too low and all the way home I was worried it would die. Lol... Made it home, pulled the inspection cover and saw the flywheel teeth were pretty chewed up. Pulled the started and the bendix didn't look terrible. I ordered a new bendix for the starter. Pulled the transmission, clutch and flywheel. Flipped the ring gear. I have all the parts to put it back together so I'll hit it hard after work tomorrow and hopefully get her back together!

Was warm enough out in the shop here in NW Wisconsin to install the snowblower on the mower! While out there I fired up the Model A and took it for a short run. Then jumped in the Plymouth, after a few cranks she popped off nicely! Let her run a bit and shut it off. Then I decided to try my hand at a little dent removal. Not too bad for my first time and only about 45 minutes. A pro would have had it done in probably 30... Lol... Hard to see in the pics. Needs a little more tweaking.

Spent a great deal of time buffing the paint on the old Plymouth! I'm no detailer so it isn't perfect, but it shines pretty nice now! Over 8 hours... This is why a proper detailing costs so much... Time and effort...

Did a little work on the Plymouth after work. Successful test drive, had her up to 55! Once home, Karen Potvin was almost done washing the Lincoln. When she was done I washed the Plymouth and then decided to see how it would shine up with a light buffing... It's going to look great! The pictures don't really do it justice. I did the passenger side hood and fender. The last picture is the comparison.
I'll use the power buffer on it tomorrow!

Installed a muffler, much better! Only took three trips to Fleet Farm and a few returns! Lol... Had to cut out a short piece where it was pretty rusted, but I'm happy with the result. You couldn't hear us talking in the shop over the noise of the exhaust before!

First time under its own power in... I really don't know, but I'm guessing it's been many years. Happy guy here!
Previous owner just told me it's been at least 20 years!
