A blessing in disguise.
We all need a little luck once in a while.
This customer was charging the battery of his beautiful S550 with his high powered home charger.
Unaware he hooked it up with reversed polarity.
Only when smoke came out of his open trunk after about 15 minutes he noticed the mistake. The distribution box was melting from overheating. Thanks to the smart wiring design of the Mercedes Engineers the damage stayed within the unit protecting many thousands of dollars of electronic equipment. A new unit and reprogramming the system did the job.
Lesson learned. 😉
