HIADA Code of Ethics:
In Greater Houston and beyond, the Houston Independent Automobile Dealer Association (HIADA) is dedicated to improving the success of all auto dealers and those within our industry through the spread of knowledge, mutual guidance, networking, and dedication. With an emphasis on fair and ethical business practices, HIADA encourages higher standards for all auto dealers an
d vendors. HIADA also strives to help consumers make better-informed decisions when shopping for a car. HIADA's primary goal is to ensure that those within our industry are treated fairly. As well as minimize the number of those within our industry who do NOT treat others fairly, thus adversely hurting our industry and reputation as independent auto dealers. HIADA also works to defeat any legislation in opposition to the best interest of our industry, as well as purpose any legislation that may favor our industry. However, in attempts to do so can only be done by gaining more members. And by gaining more members and participation in our monthly meetings, HIADA will be better equipped to effect change that benefits all of us. HIADA holds regular monthly meetings to teach and discuss important dealer issues. We often invite guest speakers with *expertise on many of our industry topics, which may vary from compliance, repossessions, storage and much more. We have also started WORKSHOPS to help educate and maximize profits for our members and non-members. HIADA meetings and workshops are held in a professional-yet-casual environment, where members and visitors can participate and network with other independent dealers. Whether you're a new dealer, a seasoned veteran or just visiting, a HIADA event has something for you!
