The Price of Success Must Always Be Paid in Advance
Be sure about what you want from life—and doubly sure of what you are prepared to give in return. When you examine the lives of truly successful people, one truth becomes clear: every achievement came with a price. Years of preparation, study, and persistence almost always precede the recognition of “overnight success.” Whether in the arts, medicine, science, or business, the principle is universal—nothing worthwhile is ever gained without sacrifice.
As you consider your own ambitions, ask yourself: What am I willing to give? Your time, energy, and talent must be invested generously long before the rewards appear. Those who understand this truth and persist through seasons of obscurity eventually rise to distinction—not because success was handed to them, but because they earned it.
“You must give before you can get. If you are not willing to pay the price, you do not deserve the reward.”
— Napoleon Hill
