Introducing the all new TRP 1000R Turbo Kit for the R35 GTR platform.
Over the last couple of months, we’ve completely revamped our popular TRP 800 and TRP 1000 turbo kits, and The Shop Houston decided there was no better way to kick off product testing than putting the new 1000Rs on our Shop Foreman Blake’s GTR.
That’s right, actual product testing before we start telling everyone how great something is, and the results speak for themselves.
The TRP 1000Rs made and held the actual set wastegate pressure of 1.2 bar completely flat all the way to redline. On Blake’s R35, equipped with a mildly built engine and transmission, we made an easy 1,022 WHP and 742 ft lbs of torque when turned up.
Huge thank you to Rob Harper at RobTuned for tuning the car and getting everything dialed in.
We also used another new TRP product during the tuning and testing of this car, our upcoming plug and play turbo shaft speed monitoring solution for cars on EcuTek, stock ECUs, or any standalone ECU with an analog input, designed for use with Garrett G-Series style compressor covers. Testing went perfectly, and these kits are now in production with an official launch coming later this month.
And here’s the best part.
We never told Blake we were putting 1000Rs on his car. Literally everyone on the team knew except Blake. 😂
As far as he knows, the plan was to make around 800 WHP on a set of TRP 800Rs. While he’s away at FL2K supporting Kimbo and Maverick at the track, we finished up his car, threw it on the dyno, and decided he needed a little more power than originally planned.
So when Blake gets back to Houston, he has a 1,000+ WHP GTR waiting for him.

The new TRP 1000Rs are equipped with Pulsar G25-660 CHRAs, the same high quality units found in some of the other turbo kits on the market.
