At first glance, this might just look like another suspension component...

Can You Spot the Problem? 👀

Most people never think about their serpentine belt... until it breaks.

Take a close look at this photo.

Do you notice the belt? It's badly frayed and starting to come apart. If it had snapped while driving, this customer could have been left stranded.

A worn serpentine belt can affect multiple systems, including:
🔧 Alternator
❄️ Air Conditioning
💧 Water Pump (on many vehicles)
⚙️ Power Steering (on applicable vehicles)

Watch for these warning signs:

⚠️ Squealing or chirping noises
⚠️ Cracks or frayed edges
⚠️ Battery warning light
⚠️ Loss of A/C
⚠️ Hard steering
⚠️ Engine overheating

What Does Your A/C Condenser Actually Do?

Many people think warm A/C means their car "just needs Freon."

Sometimes that's true...

But many times, the real problem is the A/C condenser.

This 2011 Dodge Charger came into our shop because the A/C wasn't blowing cold enough.

After diagnosing the system, we found the condenser had failed.

So what does the condenser do?

Think of it like the radiator for your A/C system.

Its job is to remove heat from the refrigerant before it returns inside your vehicle to produce cold air.

If it can't remove that heat...

➡️ Your A/C can't keep you cool.

Watch for these warning signs:

❄️ Warm air from the vents

💨 Weak cooling performance

💧 Refrigerant leaks

🚗 Cooling improves while driving but gets warmer when sitting still

Houston heat is no joke, especially when your A/C stops working.

This 2014 Honda Accord came in because the A/C was blowing warm air. After performing a complete A/C system diagnosis, our technicians found the culprit: a failed A/C compressor.

We replaced the compressor, serviced the system, and recharged the A/C to restore cold air and get this Accord back on the road comfortably.
