We are extremely saddened to share that Kyle Loftis, the founder of 1320video, passed away last night. We are in a state of shock.

Kyle’s passion for motorsports inspired millions of people around the world and we will never forget what he has done to grow our beloved sport. Kyle was a beam of light at every gathering… his enthusiasm, kindness, and creativeness was contagious.

Let us pray that Kyle is in a better place.

Flame tunes and aggressive burble tunes might look and sound cool, but from a real performance standpoint—they do nothing. No horsepower gain. No torque gain. No efficiency gain. What they actually do is move combustion out of the cylinder and into the exhaust, which is the exact opposite of proper tuning.
By retarding timing and dumping excess fuel on decel, these calibrations create uncontrolled heat where it doesn’t belong. Over time, that leads to overheated exhaust valves, accelerated wear in cylinder head components, stress on the exhaust system, and even fuel wash that can reduce lubrication and increase ring wear.
These tunes are pushed because they’re flashy and easy to sell—not because they’re beneficial. They prioritize noise and flames over reliability and long-term engine health.

At Night & Day Performance, we focus on real results. We do not install, support, or recommend flame tunes or aggressive burble setups that compromise engine integrity. If it doesn’t improve performance, reliability, or efficiency, it doesn’t belong on a properly built vehicle.
