Every car gets a little love and attention at Duggys, whether it's a big build or a daily 📸 This Colorado came in with the A/C blowing nothing but hot air — blower working fine at every speed, just no cold. Recovered and charged the system, found a small leak at the high side Schrader valve, and the compressor clutch wasn't engaging at all, spun free by hand. So we did it right: UAC compressor, GM condenser, GM expansion valve kit, and the ECM. Cold again. Then it sat a couple weeks, came back warm, and that's where it got interesting. Went in with a meter, no reading at the fuse box, but good continuity on the green-brown wire running from the box down to the compressor. So the problem was never the A/C. It was the under-hood power distribution box. Replaced the whole GM fuse block, put in a new pressure switch and dye in the system. Same bad fuse block explains the horn beeping on its own while it was locked. Sometimes an A/C job is really an electrical job, you just gotta keep chasing it.

Happy Monday ☕️ You can feel your blood pressure relax just walking by this beautiful FJ62. Back in '23 we did the front axle rebuild, the power steering pump and hoses, drive belts, and converted it off R12 to R134a. Since then it's had a new A/C compressor, the 3FE side cover gasket with a fresh cap and rotor, tie rod ends, and the oil cooler coolant hose. This round the owner said the A/C quit blowing cold again — evacuated and recharged it, found it about half a pound low with no visible leak, so we dropped UV dye in it to catch it if it comes back. Brake fluid came back at two and a half percent moisture, so that got flushed. New DENSO air filter went in. And the sway bar bushings were shot front and rear, so those are getting done in all Toyota OEM — cushions, retainers, links, bolts, the whole set. That's how you keep a 60 honest.
