Parks and retrieve guest vehicles
Attention to detail needed to ensure that cars have the proper ticket or validation
Must work by self during the nights and weekends
Repetitive standing and sitting in a podium for approximately 5-6 hours
Walk/Running during shift (approx. 3-6 hours per day) to conduct car counts and complete lot maintenance related tasks during the night shift
Incumbent may bend, stretch, squat regularly to perform job functions
Exposed to various weather conditions each day
Exposed to both indoor and outdoor climate
Requires ability to communicate verbally to provide customer service
All duties are to be performed within the guidelines of the Sovereign Services of Houston and client policies and procedures, standards and objectives.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education & Experience:
Must be 21 years of age or older
High school diploma or equivalent required
Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and be able to substantiate a safe driving record within the parameters acceptable to our liability insurance carrier
Previous valet parking experience preferred
Previous customer service experience preferred
Must be able to drive all types of vehicles
Six (6) months of previous cashier or money handling experience is preferred
Basic knowledge of start-up and close-down of paperwork is preferred
Good math skills are required
Safety & Risk Management:
Follows site-specific safety and security procedures
Practices preventative safety procedures as set forth by Sovereign Services, including safe lifting techniques
Issues claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys and collects claim checks from all guests prior to issuing keys
Consistently completes and maintains all ticket information including key tag, guest folio, location of vehicle, damage survey and claim check receipt from all vehicles taken into the valet system
Reports all accidents and incidents observed on to Supervisor immediately
Uses only equipment trained to use and operates all equipment in a safe manner
Immediately secures all keys on belt clip or in a locked key box
Reports all potential hazards and safety concerns to Supervisor
Language Skills
Must be able to communicate standard English language
Must be able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
Must be able to write simple correspondence
Must be able to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests, clients and other employees of the organization.
