🌊 Winter drawdown begins November 1!

Entergy has announced a 3-foot drawdown for Lake Hamilton and Lake Catherine, with water lowering approximately 6 inches per day.

Check your boat, lift, dock lines and water depth before levels drop. Use extra caution around shallow areas and underwater obstacles.

What’s protecting your pontoons beneath the waterline?

Aluminum pontoons can corrode even in freshwater. Different metals connected in water can cause galvanic corrosion, while electrical faults can cause fast, destructive stray-current corrosion—often called “electrolysis.”

Help protect your investment: ⚓ Check hull and engine anodes regularly. ⚓ Replace anodes when approximately half consumed. ⚓ Choose the correct anode material for your boat and water. ⚓ Keep anodes unpainted and properly connected. ⚓ Use approved barriers between dissimilar metals and aluminum-safe coatings.

A hanging anode, like the Grouper shown, needs a proper electrical connection to the metal being protected. Follow installation instructions—never connect this product to a battery.

Rapid pitting or unusually fast anode loss needs professional attention. Adding more anodes does not repair an electrical fault.

A little ingenuity on Lake Hamilton! ☀️🌊

One of my clients had this incline lift installed for the trip between his home and dock—and he created the hydraulic system that keeps the chair level as it travels up and down the hillside. How clever is that?

One of my favorite parts of running Nauti Girl Boat Cleaning is meeting the people behind these waterfront places and seeing the thoughtful touches that make lake life their own.
