I'm happy to report that we have learned who purchased the 1911 ALF Metropolitan Steam Fire Engine at the RM Southeby auction and that they will be putting it on display to the public. I'll let them make the announcement but it has gone to a very good home.

Auction results are up. The steamer estimates were spot on. We feel the motorized pieces went lower than expected.

Tomorrow evening (Feb 27th) is the RM Sotheby auction in Miami, where the American LaFrance collection will be auctioned off. We have been hearing there are some very big high rollers interested in some of the vehicles. Fire engines are finally getting their well deserved and long overdue attention in the collecting world, thanks to the life long work of Ken Soderbeck, Andy Swift and Hal Fillenger. Keep an eye on the auction prices they bring in. It may surprise us all. Auction link in the comments.

Some of the American LaFrance collection is going up for sale at the Miami RM Sotheby auction on Feb 27th. These restorations are the best of the best. No expense was spared.

Reminder: Recently Andy asked me (I'm Kathy, Andy's wife and business collaborator) to share an unusual and fun video of a drone flying through our business at Firefly Restoration Co. The video was produced by a professional videographer, Alison Langley, who was paid for her work. We keep the Firefly FB privacy settings on Public and encourage people to share our pics and videos. All we ask is that you credit where you got it. Several people shared that video and almost all credited Firefly as the source of the video. All but one, who was very put out when I asked him to credit us. These shares bring free advertising to our business and many people get to see our work, who normally would not have. We also put time, money and effort into creating this content. So please, share all you want, but please give credit where credit is due.
