Another Positive recovery, dealing with negative equity. A customer from Huntersville NC. emailed me. His 2021 Tesla Plaid with only 7556 miles he recently paid $132,800.00 for was in a minor chafe. He got a lot of static from Progressive insurance when he demanded diminished value. They said we only paid $5,143.38 for cosmetic repairs and we used Tesla parts. Further more, Flo said “ in our opinion your car hasn’t lost any value.” Good thing he didn’t trust them. I was charged with settling his loss of value claim. I submitted my report and then began negotiating. After a quick exchange and a battery of questions we decided the Tesla owner was entitled to $7950 for the negative blemish on his vehicle car facts. It was a powerful recovery on an exotic car, you might say 🎶 “ I got chills, electrifying!” Never trust the person who owes you money to determine if you’ve lost any juice or not.
