I get a lot of people wondering how things are going on the Torino. I don’t work on it everyday. But I try to accomplish what I can, when I can. As of now, I’m still tearing it down. We have a lot of cool things ordered already but until I get all the rust is removed and body work done, it feels like I’m just creating a bigger mess. This will not be a frame off restoration but we will do the best we can on a budget. There’s certain things you just can’t let go and rust repair is one of those. If you don’t fix it now, you’ll be redoing this in a few short years. It’s going to be a pretty sweet Torino when it’s done.

Don’t let Kim know I took all the zip lock bags from the house to label bolts. 😈

When the grill surround is broken but you can’t find a replacement under $600, you fix the old one. If you’re thinking about buying one of those plastic repair welders, do it. They are awesome.

Got something to keep me busy for the winter. 72 Gran Torino Sport. See if we can’t get it looking a little better and on the road by spring.

I had every intention on painting this black but I had a lot of people tell me purple. I painted it black for the base and I did a purple candy coat so I could please a few friends and also because it was my dad’s favorite color. The easy work is done. There’s a lot more to do.

It’s in primer, hopefully by the end of tomorrow it will have it’s base coat. I’m still debating on what I’m painting on it.

Picked up another project. Can’t wait to paint this. It’s going to look good in the limo bar.

About to call it a day. Here’s what we got done so far. It will have a seat in the back, the front seats will be turned into swivel barstools and I’ll mount the bench seats to the wall behind the bar at bar stool height so everyone will be at the same height when seated. Once I have everything built I’ll do the bodywork and paint.
