We are hiring!
Two years of automotive diagnostic and repair experience in a professional setting are required-not negotiable, as we would like you to be prepared for our quick paced environment. No one likes being thrown"under the bus". We may be small, but we have a lot going on and the required experience ensures our safety and quality standards are met. This keeps everyone safe and happy which is important to us!
Our starting pay correlates with experience Nights and weekends off and one hour lunch
Any addition to our crew will have a probationary period of 90 days. After that 90 days, we will talk about a raise based on work ethic and quality of work performed.
Additional benefits:
5 days vacation time after 12 months-full time
Supplemental insurance
Employee discount
Common tasks we need you to have experience with include performing oil changes, brake jobs, changing tires, belts, hoses, tune ups, diagnostics-including electrical, and most 1-4 hour jobs. We can assist when necessary, but these will be one-man jobs. We prefer each job to have one tech-it prevents "sticky situations".
We supply you with a tech bay equipped with a 2 post rotary lift, specialty tools and diagnostic equipment but require that you possess your own general tools.
If you do not have a safety inspection license, you will be asked to obtain one after the probationary period.
Welding, alignment, and exhaust experience is not required, but are important in our environment.
Our goal is to allow you to work independently but still want to ensure our customers needs have been properly addressed, the first time. We offer our customers warranties on parts and labor, but lets agree-we don't want to use that if we don't have to-saving everyone stress and money.
Let's recap.
Requirements:
* 2 years prior experience at an automotive establishment including diagnostics and repairs, both electrical and mechanical
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Ability to learn new technology-cars end up with more computers and systems every year. Of course, nothing ever stays the same! We utilize prodemand and identifix to ensure we are following up to date procedures.
* Able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment-we have both matco and snap on scanners, tpms tools, battery testing equipment, etc. We don't expect you to know how to use everything and will teach you how to use each item.
* Valid driver's license and clean driving record-the insurance company requires this so you may be approved to drive customer vehicles.
