A couple who were our guests gifted us with avocados from their friend’s farm in California.

Our guest shared that the avocados are left on the tree for as long as possible in order to allow development of the richer, more buttery quality! I believe she said up to two years!

My research says it takes about 14-18 months to grow a single avocado! And that only 1 in 10,000 buds will set and mature into a fruit!

What a phenomenal gift we received!🙏🏼🥰😘

As travelers visit our park on their way along Route 66 or even I-40, I want to share with them the beauty of Oklahoma that is ready and waiting in every direction from our park.

Today I’m sharing here about one of the most natural and mystical treasures in southwestern Oklahoma, only 1.5 hours from Territory Route 66 RV Park.

It offers an incredible sense of vastness and peace, where you can watch free-roaming bison herds, longhorns, and wild turkeys.
Driving to the top of Mount Scott or sitting by one of the quiet lakes during sunset provides unmatched panoramic serenity.
The area has the option of pet-friendly cabins or campgrounds…with other options nearby!

A great place to start your Route 66, “off the beaten path” adventure is right from our park with the personal story of my (Carol) growing up 50 feet from the center line on this very property!(that beautiful woman in the photo attached is my mother, Evelyn and that handsome rugged man is my father, “Junior”!)
