Thank you Burbella Learning Academy for the wonderful opportunity to work with you and share a lesson about self-worth and diversity wrapped in cars 🙂. It was an honor and pleasure speaking with your very thoughtful and bright students!

I am especially grateful to the young lady who drew me while I was reading. I love that your school has incorporated drawing as an important part of your learning approach - sometimes we forget the maxim "a picture says a thousand words"!

In my career in corporate America and also as a visual artist? Telling a story can be done with words or images! This approach to explaining a situation will serve your students well throughout their lives.

I was moved and impressed -- this little girl's drawing has been the best thank you I have received during my readings to kids!

Thank you Ms Lopez, Mr G, Mr Tokoly, & all of Lew Wallace Elementary School for inviting us to read to your classes yesterday! We had an amazing and inspiring time.

Educators you do not get enough appreciation for what you do for ALL of us - thank you for helping so much to build the future through our young minds everyday.

Our book was written with hope to remind our kids about diversity and self-worth while trying to entertain them with a shared love for cars of all types, but especially lowriders.

The smiles and questions from your bright and excited kids made our year and we got a tremendous amount of encouragement to continue to write and create just from seeing their reactions!

Thank you all again for entrusting us with the future and for the wonderful experience!
