🚗 OHIO PERMIT HOLDERS — HAVE YOU DOWNLOADED ROAD READY OHIO YET? 📱

If you’re working toward your Ohio driver’s license, the Road Ready Ohio app is a great tool to have along the way!

One of the biggest requirements for new drivers is completing 50 hours of supervised driving time. Road Ready Ohio makes it easy to track those required 50 hours and keep up with your progress toward earning your license.

🚗 Don’t Wait… Get on the Schedule Early! 🚗

One of the biggest mistakes we see is waiting too long to start driver’s education.

Here’s the best timeline to help your teen get their license as soon as they’re eligible:

✅ At 15 years, 5 months: Enroll in the required 24-hour online driver’s education course.
✅ Get your temporary permit as soon as you’re eligible at 15 and 6 months.
✅ Schedule your 8 hours of behind-the-wheel instruction after completing your 24 hour class and receiving your temporary driving permit.

Why is this important?

⏳ Behind-the-wheel lessons typically have a 4–6 week waiting list, and in some cases, even longer during busy seasons.

Remember, Ohio requires new drivers to hold their permit for at least six months before they can take their driving exam. Waiting to start driver’s education or delaying your permit can push back the date you’re eligible for your license.

Planning ahead means:

✔️ Better scheduling options
