First weekend for me in my 2026 XL1 car. As always there were some tweaks that were need but we are getting setteled in quickly. Had a oppertunity to win both heat races (failed), picked up the hard charger title on Sunday night.

FYI a 17" steering wheel is just to big and you neede to be able to see around your air cleaner.

Both Andrew Funt and I were in diffrent cars this weekend and we are both happy with the gains we made.

In this picture are 4 XL1/Duratec powered cars fighting it out in a heat race. Doug Frederick pulled off the W.

This might have been the first heat race to have all Duratec powered cars and 11 of the 14 cars of the race were Duratec powered. I'm not saying there faster, I feel it's equal to a good 2.3, but they are more cost effective and reliable!

Charlie and his family picked up a XL1 chassis/Durtec powered car last week and are ready to hit some shows.
At just 11 years old, Charlie brings lightning sprint and kart experience to the track.  I would look for them to be contenders very soon. The family has the drive to succeed!
