During the 2026 Ge**er Collision & Glass Route 66 NHRA Nationals presented by PEAK Auto, we had the privilege of helping present a 2023 Honda Accord to Chicago area veteran Vincent Guzman through the National Auto Body Council Recycled Rides program.

After facing challenges with housing, transportation and access to work opportunities, Vincent continued moving forward with support from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and the Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans. This vehicle will help provide reliable transportation as he pursues new employment and educational opportunities.

A huge thank you to NABC, Allstate, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, our Ge**er Collision & Glass team and every partner who helped make this moment possible.

One moment. One vehicle. A lasting impact. Through our partnership with the National Auto Body Council (NABC) Recycled Rides program, we were able to present Navy veteran John Hubert with a beautifully refurbished vehicle in Tampa, FL.

After experiencing homelessness during the 2008 recession, John found his footing again thanks to veteran resources. Now in retirement, he’s an active community volunteer. But without access to public transportation, his medical appointments, volunteer work and time with other veterans became challenging. With this vehicle, he can continue the work he is so passionate about while keeping the dignity and independence he deserves.

Every vehicle has a story. This vehicle changed a life. Through our partnership with the National Auto Body Council (NABC) Recycled Rides program, we had the opportunity to present a refurbished vehicle to U.S. Marine Corps veteran and father of three, Pedro Perez. After serving in Iraq, Afghanistan and as a police officer, Perez faced a rare cancer diagnosis in 2013 that impacted his mobility.
With the addition of lift features, this vehicle will help him regain independence and fully reconnect with the life he enjoys. One that includes time with family, access to the outdoors and the ability to move forward on his own terms.
