The faces, the cars, and the town around us have changed over the years, but one thing hasn't: we're still family owned and operated, still serving High Springs, just like we have since 1926.

In 1926, motor oil companies were fighting hard for your trust — and your dashboard. Mobiloil told drivers to "make chart your guide," matching exact oil weights to your car. Texaco bet on looks, urging folks to "see it poured" — clear, golden, and clean-burning. Havoline leaned into power with "the power oil," and Gulf promised it "flows freely at zero," so your car would start on the coldest January morning.

A century later, the ads have changed — but the goal hasn't: earn your trust, one oil change at a time. That's exactly what we've tried to do since 1926.

🚗 100 years of keeping High Springs running. 🚗

Back in 1926, when Jim Douglas Sales & Service opened its doors, cars didn't even have oil filters — just a flywheel spinning in the sump, flinging oil everywhere and hoping for the best. Checking your oil meant crawling under the car with a wrench to open two little valves and hoping oil dripped from the top one. Wild times.

An oil change back then ran about 50¢–$1. Gas was 12–24¢ a gallon. A brand-new car cost around $360. And somehow, through a century of Model Ts, muscle cars, and everything since — one thing hasn't changed: we're still here, taking care of this community like family.
Nearly 100 years, four generations of change, and one small Florida town has grown right alongside us. We couldn't be prouder to call High Springs home.

📚 GOAL MET! 100 Items for 100 Years! 📚

Thanks to this incredible community, our Back to School Supply Drive hit its 100-item goal — one for every year Jim Douglas Sales & Service has been part of High Springs! 🎉

This week we delivered every pencil, notebook, glue stick, and dollar donated straight to the amazing staff at High Springs Community School. 🍎✏️ Seeing it all loaded up and handed over was the best possible way to kick off our 100th year.

To every customer who dropped a dollar in the box by the register, every neighbor who showed up with a bag of supplies, and every teacher who pours into these kids all year long — thank you. 💙

100 years of business only happens when a community shows up for you. Today, you showed up for them.
