If you have a middle or high school student, this is something you don’t want them to miss 👇
The Citrus County Chamber of Commerce & Twistid Arts Initiative are putting on a really great monthly career series right here in our community.
Each month highlights a different industry and brings in local professionals to talk with students in a relaxed, real-world setting. They’ve already covered medical and law enforcement and this month is construction 👷♀️
We’re excited to be part of it and show students that construction is so much more than just swinging a hammer. There are so many paths like project management, estimating, engineering, and more.
✔ Free food
✔ Giveaways
✔ Real conversations about real careers
Such a great opportunity to help our kids start thinking about their future early and see what’s possible right here in Citrus County.
Love seeing our community invest in the next generation 💙
Not every student knows exactly what they want to do after high school, and that’s okay.
That’s what Monday Meetup: A Careers & Community Series is all about.
Tomorrow, Monday, April 6, middle and high school students are invited to join us for a relaxed, real-world conversation about careers in construction and the many paths available right here in Citrus County.
Students will hear from local professionals about what the industry is really like, the different types of jobs available, how to get started, and what steps they can take now if this field sparks their interest.
We’re excited to welcome:
🔹 Kyle McKay, McKay Construction and Design
🔹 Kelly Ellis, Triton Construction LLC
🔹 Colleen Strickland, Withlacoochee Technical College
Thank you Marco's Pizza - Crystal River for donating dinner.
Whether your student already has an interest in construction or is just beginning to explore future options, this is a great chance to hear honest insight, ask questions, and learn about local opportunities in a laid-back setting.
Free food, giveaway drawings, and a creative, welcoming environment included.
