Fine people of Hickory County. Ahead of this storm take precautions.
Top off your vehicles fuel tank. Check tire pressure and fluid levels. Have a blanket or two in your vehicle. A shovel or entrenched tool, snow melt and such.
Have a flashlight with fresh batteries and many back up batteries. A wireless, old fashioned radio in case power goes out...
Enough meds to last at least a few days. Especially mandatory stuff like insulin or pain meds.
If you can a secondary heat source, firewood, fueled space heater.
And as always CHECK ON YOUR NEIGHBORS! Especially the elderly and families with children!
And last but not least a couple three days worth of food on hand just in case.
SO RUSH OUT FOR THE BREAD, MILK AND TP!
Seriously taken precautions now before it is potentially dangerous to do so. And God bless all the first responders who will have to deal with what may be coming just to rescue the unfortunate people who didn't prepare.
And if possible JUST STAY HOME!
