UPDATE ON NICK!!!
We went to see his cardiologist in Bloomington yesterday. NO additional surgery is needed at this time!!! He says with the new medication and his current medication he is certain Nicks heart will make a full recovery!!!! He goes back in a few months for another echo cardiogram to see how things are going if all is good we will be on a 6 month basis of seeing Dr. Dibs!!! He is a wonderful doctor and I'm glad he was in Rockford that dreadful Christmas night. According to him Nick should not be here with us right now. He was supposed to have a medical before leaving the first hospital but they decided to give it to life flight. Which in turn fell off Nick's stretcher and broke so he never got his "life saving" medicine. But he made it and Dr. Dibs fixed him despite the odds. God had a hand in all of this and I'm here to tell you Prayer works!!! I should not have a husband nor should the kids have a dad. But by the grace of God we still have him!!! Thank you all again for you continued prayers and support. We are thankful for each and every one of you!!!

Happy New Year from Nicks Auto Repair!!! Thanks for another great year!! We will be back open this week!! Nick is doing a lot better but still not able to work. He will be at the shop answering the phone, doing paperwork, and giving advice. 😂 Hopefully another week or so he will be released for light duty!!

Nick wanted me to update everyone. I wasn't going to post this. But Nick wanted me to. He still has a 70% blockage in his circumflex artery. They wanted to do another surgery and put another stent in. But because of where it is at it is to big of a Risk for nick because they would have to shut down the good part of his heart to do this. They are treating it with medication. We will have lots of check up and lots of recovery time. As of right now he will NOT be working for at least a week to 2 weeks. Which is just driving him up a tree. He is not one to just sit and do nothing.

We are coming home today!!!! Lots of rest and about 5-6 meds. And more Dr. Appointments but we are coming home!! Thank you for all your prayers and well wishes. It amazes me to see the support of our small community. We truly love and appreciate you all!!!

As most of you know Nick had a massive heart attack yesterday afternoon. He has had 2 stents put in and is recovering at a hospital in Rockford where he got life flighted last night. Please keep him and his family in your thoughts and be patient with us as we work thru this. The shop will be closed for a little while. At least untill him and I get home. Nick will not be working for at least a week. I will make calls as necessary to try and accommodate all the customers that may have had something scheduled this week or had a pick up. Like I said please just be patient with us as we work thru this. Thank you and have a happy new year
