This beautiful **one-owner 1993 GMC** is no stranger to the shop, and we’re always glad to see it roll back through the door.

It’s already got a great combination under the hood with a **383 stroker, 4-speed overdrive, Dakota Digital gauges, and Holley Sniper 2 EFI** — but the upgrades just keep coming.

This time, we installed a **Holley HyperSpark ignition system**, giving the Sniper 2 full control over ignition timing. After installation, we handled the complete setup and tuning to get everything working together exactly like it should.

The difference was immediate.

🔥 Great-sounding, stable idle
🔥 Dead-smooth drivability going down the road
🔥 Sharper throttle response
🔥 And a whole lot more power everywhere you put your foot into it

A good EFI system is only as good as the setup and calibration behind it, and this truck is a perfect example of what proper ignition control and tuning can do for the entire driving experience.

We can’t wait to see what the next upgrade brings. It’s always a pleasure having this GMC in the shop!

We recently had the pleasure of having this beautiful **1957 Ford Fairlane 500** in the shop — recently imported all the way from **Germany!** 🇩🇪🇺🇸

This incredibly clean custom build keeps things properly old school with **small-block Ford power, a 3-speed automatic, and a Ford 9-inch rear end**.

It came to us needing some attention to the ignition timing along with a significant carburetor issue. After getting those problems corrected, we were able to put the Fairlane on the dyno and properly dial everything in.

With the timing and carburetor calibration set where they needed to be, the car is now running much cleaner and more efficiently — with a **big improvement in drivability and fuel economy** while still keeping all of that classic hot rod character.

Dyno tuning isn’t always about chasing a horsepower number. Sometimes it’s about making the entire combination work the way it was intended to, and this Fairlane responded beautifully.

We really enjoyed working with this car and getting to know its new owner. We’re looking forward to seeing both of them back at **Speed Needs Inc.** for whatever comes next!

We always enjoy seeing a familiar car—and an even more familiar customer—come back through the doors at Speed Needs Inc.

Francisco has been a valued customer of ours for several years. It all started when he brought us his beautiful 2002 Dodge Viper GTS ACR for headers, a custom side-exit exhaust, upgraded intake bellows, and a dyno tune. Even in the Texas summer heat, the Viper put down an impressive 435 rear-wheel horsepower!

Today, it was back in the shop for routine maintenance, and we were happy to see that Francisco is still getting out and enjoying this incredible car years later.

We truly appreciate his continued trust in Speed Needs Inc.—not only for the performance upgrades and builds, but also for the regular maintenance that keeps everything running its best.

We recently had the opportunity to dyno tune this old-school **1973 Chevrolet Nova**, and this car is an absolute blast!

Under the hood is a **468 cubic-inch big-block Chevy** backed by a **TH400 transmission**, a **4,800 RPM stall converter**, and **4.56 rear gears**. It laid down **410 horsepower at the rear wheels** and is built specifically to handle business in the eighth mile.

Maybe it’s the power. Maybe it’s the unmistakable sound of **13:1 compression**. Or maybe it’s that sweet smell of **110-octane leaded race fuel**. Whatever gets your attention first, this Nova delivers the full old-school drag-racing experience!

The car is fully set up for the **1/8 mile**, launches straight, and is ready to head back to the track with its next owner.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out, braved the Texas heat, and supported the local gearhead community here in Henderson!

We had an incredible turnout filled with great people, beautiful cars, awesome trucks, and some seriously killer bikes. Events like this are about more than the vehicles—they’re about bringing friends, families, and fellow enthusiasts together to share a passion and build a stronger community.

We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who continues to support Speed Needs Inc. and helps make Henderson’s hot rod community something truly special. We couldn’t do it without you, and we’re already looking forward to the next one!

A true piece of Chevrolet history came through Speed Needs Inc.—a genuine 1967 Chevelle SS 396 with a factory 4-speed and factory air.

The owner has had this car since the 1970s and restored it using nothing but NOS parts. We had the opportunity to diagnose, repair, and dyno tune it, and the finished result was one of the smoothest-running big-block Chevrolets we have ever experienced.

Classic cars require more than parts swapping. They take experience, careful diagnosis, and an understanding of carbureted engines, ignition systems, and vintage drivability. Our chassis dyno allows us to safely fine-tune these combinations while preserving the character that makes them special.

We are grateful the owner trusted Speed Needs Inc. with such a rare and original Chevelle.

Speed Needs Inc. has been wide open lately, and we are truly grateful for everyone who has trusted us with their cars, trucks, hot rods, restorations, and tuning needs. The support from this community keeps us moving, and we appreciate it more than you know.

We will be taking this month off from Cruise Night, and the shop will also be closed from **June 30th through July 12th**, reopening on **July 13th**.

Our owner is also a part-time pyrotechnician, so we’ll be out making noise, lighting fuses, and celebrating **250 years of America** the right way.
