If you neglect to clean this simple part of the car, you will face problems such as increased fuel consumption, poor acceleration, engine vibration, and difficulty starting. In addition, the check engine light may come on due to incorrect readings.

The MAF sensor measures the amount of air entering the engine, and if dirt accumulates on it, it starts sending incorrect readings to the control unit, which in turn disrupts the balance of the fuel and air mixture, which harms the car's performance and efficiency.

The solution is easy, clean the sensor from time to time using a special cleaner or electronics cleaner, and be careful not to touch the sensitive parts. The sensor is located after the air intake and before the intake manifold.
